Description du stage

The Danny Woo Community Garden, located in Seattle's International District, is looking for a Garden Educator to intern with our Children's Garden!

Responsibilities include:
- Helping to develop Spring curriculum for 4 weekly classes
- Planning and leading 1 class beginning in early April
- Assisting in recruitment of volunteers for garden classes
- Periodic help out in the garden (this can increase to as much time as you'd desire)
- Grant writing

This internship will begin in early February and start out as 6 hours/week, increasing to 10 hours/week in April.
You must be available for one of the following classes:
Tuesdays from April 9th - May 28th from 1:30 - 5:30 pm or,
Thursdays from April 25th -May 23rd from 12:30 - 3:30 pm

Requirements:
- Experience working with children before, preferably in an outdoor setting
- Passion for, and knowledge of, sustainable agriculture and gardening techniques
- Ability to lead one class beginning in April
- Appreciation of Asian culture
- Bilingual in Vietnamese, Mandarin, or Cantonese a plus but not required
