TITLE: Marketing/Corporate Relations Intern
REPORTS TO: Director of Corporate Relations
LOCATION: Washington, DC
POSITION SUMMARY: American Rivers is seeking a Marketing/Corporate Relations Intern in the Marketing and Communications Department at our Washington, DC office. This is an unpaid position, and can be part- or full-time. However, we will work with the successful applicant to obtain school credit if available.
Candidates should be enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program.
The intern will work directly with the Marketing and Communications Assistant and the Director of Corporate Relations to help ensure department objectives are met. They will assist with upcoming corporate campaigns, outreach, and corporate prospecting research. Additionally, the intern will provide support to the National River Cleanup®program. The intern may also have the opportunity to work with communications staff on various projects, which may include writing, editing, and research. American Rivers' has a small, close knit, Marketing and Communications department which will provide opportunity for the selected intern to receive hands-on experience in the development and implementation of strategic outreach.

INTERN QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent writing, editing, and research skills
- Ability to work with minimal guidance
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Comfort with MS Office
- Web savvy
- Passion for environmental issues
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally within a diverse community.

TIME COMMITMENT AND PAY: American Rivers' internships are unpaid. We request a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week but schedule and length of internship are flexible.
