HITN (Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network) is an entrepreneurial public media entity with various media business activities. This PBS-like network is the first and only non-commercial network targeting the US Latino Market, reaching 44 million homes.
HITN is developing educational digital media content targeting schools and kids at home which will be distributed through its own cloud based infrastructure.
HITN was recently awarded a major five-year, competitive grant from the US Department of Education Ready To Learn (RTL) program. As the grant recipient, HITN is responsible for developing educational trans-media applications to develop English language skills, early literacy skills and early math skills for pre-school aged children, with a specific focus on addressing the learning needs of Latino youngsters. This is first time in the history of Ready To Learn, that a Hispanic organization is responsible for creating RTL content.
HITN is the largest educational broadband spectrum holder in the US. Together, these assets provide the basis for an unprecedented opportunity to help build a mission focused multi-media company.

The internship program at HITN is designed to provide an educational and enriched opportunity for students to participate, learn and create experiences that will carry them throughout their careers. ADMINISTRATION
The administrative internship track is designed to provide students with opportunities to learn how to manage functional areas such as IT, LEGAL, HR, FIN and OPS within a media organization that focuses on education and development. If you are interested in any one of these areas please indicate which i.e. HR or IT Intern in the subject line and follow the instructions on application submission below.
HITN-TV
The HITN-TV is a fully functions broadcasting system that incorporates all aspects of a television network. HITN generates licensed and original content in over 40 million homes. Students engaged in this internship will learn from experiences professional on all methods of a television network. H-LEARNING and READY TO LEARN
H-Learning of HITN is the educational arm and provides content online and application based products to pre-k up to 3 to 6th level students. Students interested in this internship will be directly involved with understanding how technology works in early childhood development and application development. If you are interested in this internship please include H-Learning in the subject line and follow the instructions below.
