UniversalGiving™, an award-winning global social-entrepreneurship nonprofit organization, is looking for a QA/IT Intern to join our exciting team. The QA/IT Intern will support Product Development, working closely with UniversalGiving's Senior Product Development Manager and Developers. The intern is expected to assist in the planning of test procedures, perform rigorous testing of new website features and applications, coordinate with team members to perform additional testing, and collect feedback on results.

Duration: This is an unpaid internship with a commitment of 15-20 hours per week for 4 to 6 months (6 months preferred). Ideal candidates are available to work in our downtown San Francisco office.
Responsibilities:
oTake a critical role in the deployment cycle and production release of application components and interfaces experienced by hundreds of internet viewers around the world
oCollaborate with our product development team to deliver with quality and efficiency
oDevelop, modify, and execute software test plans to ensure exemplary quality of UniversalGiving's website
oCoordinate with other team members to perform rigorous testing, collect detailed feedback, track bugs, and report findings
oPrepare maintenance documentation
oWork with team leadership on multiple technology projects to identify issues, prioritize efforts, deliver results, and document information
oProvide systems administration support for Windows Server 2003 including User Accounts and Security, Connectivity settings, Hardware components, Devices/Drivers, and Backup procedures
oReceive, Troubleshoot, and Respond to technical issues raised by team members including problems with connectivity, network, and general malfunction
oManage synchronization of PDA devices with our relationship management tool (Salesforce.com)
oResearch and provide astute recommendations for potential hardware/software purchases, upgrades, and changes
