Each intern is expected to take on TWO positions: one from LIST A and one from LIST B below.
LIST A - Primary Position (approximately 70% of your work)
- Music Director
- Choreographer
- Stage Manager
- Tech Director
- Assistant Producer
LIST B - Secondary Position (approximately 30% of your work)
- Line Coach
- Orchestra Manager
- Production Assistant
- Costume Designer
- Props
These are intense, full-time positions. Interns work 8 - 12 hours per day and have one day off per week.
Job Description - Music Director
- Work with Director and Choreographer to fulfill a collective vision for the show
- Teach vocals to program participants
- Rehearse and conduct orchestra
- Coordinate with Orchestra Manager to create a rehearsal schedule for the orchestra
Required Qualifications - Music Director
- At least 19 years of age
- Completion of least 1 year of college/university (or relevant work experience)
- Passion for musical theatre and working with children/youth
- Previous experience in music direction
- Ability to sight-read a musical theatre score at a keyboard
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Experience working with children/youth
- Interest in and open mind towards immersion in a new culture
- Flexibility

- Commitment to abide by our drug/alcohol policy
- Willingness to learn some Spanish (Spanish proficiency is valued but not required)
