Position Objective:
To provide administrative support to PETA's Marketing Department
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Monitor incoming tweets to PETA's social-media accounts for animal emergencies, campaign updates, or other information, responding as appropriate
• Monitor the social-media accounts of celebrities and companies
• Build relationships with activists using peta2's and PETA Latino's accounts
• Respond to text messages sent to PETA and peta2
• Moderate and respond to comments on YouTube and the Living section of PETA's website
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
• Some college course work in marketing
• Proven experience with online marketing beyond social media
• One year of experience in an office environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns
• Demonstrated effective writing and research skills
• Proven excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Support for PETA's philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate PETA's positions on issues
• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
