AES Institute, a 501(c)3 organization committed to promoting global citizenship, is in the process of expanding! We currently have an opportunity available for someone to coordinate our community outreach efforts to increase our impact on the community. At AES World Institute, we believe that language learning helps strengthen our community. By providing affordable language classes to individuals in Boston, local communities can attain better communication across language and cultural divides. Currently, we offer classes in Spanish, Italian, and Mandarin and are in the process of expanding our offerings.
We are seeking a Marketing Intern to help us establish relationships with other area nonprofits, as well as local businesses that have international ties. The intern would be responsible for reaching out to local organizations to promote our classes and assist in the recruitment process. This position would allow you to work closely with our team, implement your own strategy, build your network, and get involved with a growing nonprofit. A qualified candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. While no experience is necessary, experience with direct marketing would be an asset.
Responsibilities include: -Conducting marketing research on local organizations -Work with program directors and marketing specialist to developing a detailed marketing plan for each of our target industries -Maintaining a detailed database of contacts -Calling, emailing, and making in-person visits to businesses and nonprofits -Networking and establishing relationships with nonprofits in the long term -Informing the local community about our different projects
