Description du stage

The Phillips Collection (www.phillipscollection.org), America's first museum of Modern Art is currently seeking an intern to support its Special Events department in the day to day activities of managing the logistics and executing internal and external events. The intern will have an opportunity to learn all aspects of Special Event management in a fast paced and creative environment.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

-Assisting in all aspects of Phillips after 5, which inlcude:
-Creating event plans; designing and edit event flyer; identifing and soliciting vendors; musicians and partners; coordinating and managing vendors, partners and volunteers. helping with setup and breakdown of event.
-Inputing and managing data in Raisers Edge.
-Assisting with printing invitations, brochures and member mailings.
-Assisting in managing events and building use calendars for museum event space-with the implementation of the EMS (Event Management System)
-Creating "one-liners" for Special Events and Directors Office
-Assisting with Registration during Member events.
-Creating event plans for external and internal events.
-Assisting the Director of Special Events with managing external events (may require some evenings).
-Performing other duties as required.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:
-Undergraduate or gradute student with an interest in the arts or events management.
-Database experience (e.g. Raiser's Edge) helpful.
-Excellent communication and writing skills.
-Extraordinary attention to detail.
-Ability to prioritize many tasks and work in a face paced environment.
-Creative, energetic, positive, goal-oriented behavior.
-Minimum 2 days a week and ability to work some evening events such as Phillips after 5, and evening receptions and dinners.
