The Georges Malaika Foundation (GMF), a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization committed to empowering young women through education in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), is seeking a qualified intern. We are a small organization, which means this individual should be able to tackle anything that comes across their path. Such tasks might include fundraising, marketing, public relations, and administrative tasks for our new sports center, sponsored by FIFA, and the GMF School in DRC.
We will provide you a workspace with access to office materials and require 20-25 hours per week with a minimum three month commitment. If you are a student, we are willing to offer course credit as well. Though this is an unpaid internship, a Metrocard will be provided for your day(s) of work. GMF is a well established organization comprised of a devoted group of professionals that all work on a volunteer basis. We will only consider serious, enthusiastic applicants and though the ability to speak French is recommended, it is not required. If you are a student interested in enhancing your C.V. or an individual that is interested in flexing your humanitarian muscles, please submit your work experience and a cover letter to anthea.gray@gmfafrica.org.
