We need writers for our online news magazine www.InPhaseMag.com and our print newspaper In Phase News. We also need Copy Editors. These positions may be combined. This could be done as an internship. Position may develop into a paid position. Subjects include civil rights, human rights, social justice, freethought, current events/news, politics, economics, spirituality, sexuality/gender issues, HIV/AIDS, health, and more. Our print and online versions are nonprofit publications used to help generate conversation and interest in our ongoing outreach efforts to the homeless community (particularly out of work musicians) and to those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
IN PHASE NEWS is focused on helping put a spotlight on independent bands and musical artists of every genre, as well as independent film, local theater, and other independent entertainers and artists from other forms of art, expression, and creativity who may be under the radar of other publications and media outlets. This also includes painters, tattoo artists, acting troupes, comedians, etc. Our upcoming issues include interviews and reviews of some outstanding bands and artists from the Nashville area! We want to give them more exposure and a chance to be seen and heard by many more people. Each issue will have interviews and stories, plus cd reviews, show reviews, columnists, and much more! But that's not all!!! We are also here to help inform and educate you on such matters as human & civil rights, social justice, sexuality & gender issues, HIV/AIDS, spirituality, political issues, the economy, health, and other areas of interest and concern - all from unique perspectives. Think of us as a cross between Rolling Stone Magazine and Mother Jones Magazine - but on a more local/regional scale. Many times important issues are skirted over and even completely ignored by other media outlets. We are here to help bring more light to some of those issues. We are friends of the "Occupy" movement as well as local small businesses, farmers, teachers, and others. We believe in the individual rights of all. We believe in peace. We believe in love. We support spirituality but shun religious dogma, pomp, and hierarchy and we believe the Christian, Muslim, and Jew who is true to her/his faith will learn to get along and will walk in peace and love with one another as well as everyone from every other religion, faith, creed, and philosophy.
