Internship Description:
Promoting rapid response advocacy by keeping up-to-date and reporting on current events in and surrounding Sudan; maintaining communication with Sudanese diaspora position across the globe; maintaining connections with Sudanese on the ground in the region . Ensuring that our members and subscribers are kept aware of these events.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining up-to-date research about current events in the region of Sudan
Seeking and maintaining first-person testimonials about the crisis
Circulating and writing press-releases
Collecting information from on-the-ground sources
Writing media pieces and articles
Maintaining email databases of subscribers
Writing articles for the Voices for Sudan Newsletter
Qualifications:
We are seeking current Undergraduate or Masters students interested in a career in Journalism, Public Policy, or International Relations. An interest and or knowledge of the social and political issues of Sudan is a plus. The successful candidate will be an excellent writer, great at research, and an excellent communicator. They will also be diligent, very well organized, and hardworking.
