Description du stage

IDEA US seeks interns to work with us on a variety of projects in order to further our mission to promote mutual understanding and democracy globally by supporting discussion and active citizenship locally. Please see our website for more information on IDEA: www.idebate.org

IDEA US has internship opportunities in the following areas:

Research

  • Write, edit and post debatabase entries on topical subjects
  • Update existing entries
  • Monitor and participate in online discussions on debatabase topics

Publications

  • Permissions research
  • Researching and developing forums for Press visibility
  • Prepare incoming manuscripts for production
  • Working together with development director to research publication-specific grants

Development

  • Assist with our fund raising efforts including researching new opportunities, grant writing, researching and developing lists of potential individual donors
  • Work to update and maintain mailing lists and program files

Events and PR

  • Online promotion of IDEA events including our monthly Cogers event
  • Work on preparations and logistics for our annual Youth Forum
  • Work with our international staff to incorporate social media into our communications strategy
  • Assist with trainings

Applicants must be enrolled in school. All internships will be in New York.
