Description du stage

The National Museum of Animals & Society (NMAS) is dedicated to enriching the lives of animals and people through exploration of our shared experience.

We're currently seeking an energetic Collections Intern.

Primary responsibilities include collections inventory, cataloging artifacts, conducting research and reporting on historical objects, assisting with featured artifacts in exhibitions, providing general programming support; other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in history, animal protection and human-animal studies
  • Interest in / knowledge of museum database software or collection management
  • Comprehension of general / best museum and collections practices
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, writing, and verbal skills
  • Photography skills, a plus
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office software applications
  • Independent and motivated essential
  • Intern must also have and use his/her own laptop
  • Position can conducted remotely.

Comment postuler

Accepted interns work remotely, approximately 10-15 hours a week. Duration of internship is typically 2-3 months, but can be extended. Unfortunately, we cannot offer stipends or housing at this time.
