Description du stage

Are you a world citizen? Do you want to make a difference? Are you interested in learning more about how a non-profit organization runs? Are you a college student looking for an internship to add to your resume? Would you like to gain real-world experience working in a fast-paced office environment?

If you said yes to any of these questions, then apply to become an intern with HANDS FOR AFRICA!

Hands for Africa is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. HFA works to alleviate the hardship of thousands of civil war victims in Sierra Leone. The ten-year long civil war broke out in 1991 over natural resources, primarily the diamond trade. Thousands of Sierra Leoneans and other Africans were maimed and raped, four million displaced, and countless more further impoverished by the blood diamond industry, which continues despite an end to the war in 2002. Out of this tragedy, HFA was born with the mission of restoring lost hope to the innocent victims. HFA provides prosthetics for the maimed, micro-finance to establish self-reliance, medical aid, clean water, and educational opportunities for these individuals.
