Principled and nonpartisan, the ACLU has offices in all 50 states, Washington, DC and Puerto Rico, and brings together the country's largest team of public interest lawyers, lobbyists, communication strategists, members and activists in the advancement of equality, fairness, and freedom, especially for the most vulnerable in our society.
The Communications Department is responsible for promoting the ACLU's mission, its brand and its programs through the media, multi-faceted campaigns, digital communications, publications and events. The Communications Department's Digital/Multimedia Communications program seeks graphic design and multimedia interns for the Fall of 2013.
The Internship Program offers the opportunity to learn about the breadth of the ACLU's work and how the Communications Department supports the work through branding, producing printed materials and graphic design for the ACLU web site(s), multimedia and social media channels.
The internship requires a 10-12 week commitment. The internship is part-time and requires a time commitment of 12-16 hours per week. Arrangements may be made with the student's school for a work/study stipend or course credit.
