Connecting Schools to the World is a holistic cultural exchange that places native English speaking, college graduates in schools around rural Argentina. Our mission is to broaden the minds of young people by exposing them to passionate and creative educators from around the world. CS Teachers strengthen intercultural relations and are valuable members of their schools and greater communities.
Potential Teachers: Connecting Schools to the World is looking for native English speaking, college graduates who are interested in a real, holistic, cultural exchange in Argentina. No prior teaching or Spanish language is necessary as intensive training and Spanish classes will be provided to program participants throughout their term. We are looking for people who are passionate about teaching and brining their culture and traditions into their classroom with creativity. Additionally, participants must be enthusiastic about a full cultural immersion as they will be living with a family and treated like a member of the community.
Program Logistics: The program has two, four-month, terms that follow the school calendars in Argentina. Terms begin on February 19th and July 9th and participants have the option to stay on for two terms. Participants begin with two weeks of intensive training in Buenos Aires, in addition to two hours of Spanish classes a day. After training participants head off to their new towns, which are assigned during training, and greeted by their new families. Each location has an on site coordinator to support participants, in additional to monthly site visits by the program Director.
Participants teach between 20 and 25 hours a week in public or private schools and in conjunction with their schools English curriculum. Participants will also receive four hours of private Spanish lessons a week by a Spanish teacher in their community.
Participants pay a minimal, one time, donation feeand receive a monthly stipend to compensate any spending you may have. All other costs such as transportation, room and board are covered by Connecting Schools.

UPDATES about Connecting Schools!
The Ministerio de Educacion in Argentina has had a very closed policy regarding foreigners teaching in public schools. This policy has not allowed us to reach out to students in many academic institutions. As of this year CS signed a revolutionary agreement in Cordoba which allows us to work in public schools and thus reach out to a huge sector of Argentina students.
Due to this innovation, we have reopened the application and are recruiting more wonderful people to teach English as a Second Language in Argentina.
