N Street Village, Inc. (NSV) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation, founded by Luther Place Memorial Church in 1972, and a place to "welcome the stranger" – to be a place of biblical hospitality where all are welcome; a place that brings mutual blessing to both guest and host. In a spirit of hospitality, working with all faith communities and other service providers, NSV strives to provide the facilities, community support and continuum of services necessary for homeless women and low-income families to achieve their highest potential and develop a sense of pride and responsibility for managing their own lives and environment.

NSV not only responds to the emergency needs of homeless women, but also tackles the root causes of homelessness – poverty, physical and mental illness, addiction and lack of decent, affordable housing. Ultimately, NSV hopes that clients return to secure, independent living with positive self-esteem.
