The New York City Mental Health Film Festival is sponsored by Community Access, Inc& New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services. Our 10th Annual Film Festival is slated for Saturday and Sunday May 17 to 18, 2014, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
For ten years, the NYC Mental Health Film Festival brings to downtown Brooklyn a vivid selection of thought-provoking films that positively portray the mental health community.
This tenth anniversary two-day event brings together film buffs and mental health recipients for an entire day of independent films about mental health in an effort to defeat stigma.
Known for our discussions between film makers and the mental health community, as much as for the independent mental health films we show.
The NYC Mental Health Film Festival is open to the public for a small admission fee to cover costs. Admission covers all day of films, breakfast and lunch, and discussions with film makers.
$15 for two-day pass including lunch and discussions with film makers
$10 in advance for Saturday's films, discussion and lunch.
$5 in advance for Sunday. Film and discussion only.
This year our focus will be highlighting the alternatives to hospitals.
