Description

Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area(LSS/NCA) began serving the Washingnton Metropolitan area in 1917.

The mission of LSS/NCA is to provide services that offer hope and provide for the well being of children, individuals, families, and communities in need regardless of religion, race, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, age, or ethnicity; assist congregations in identifying and responding to local and regional community needs; and promote social justice, individual self-sufficiency, and the inherent worth of each human being.
