The New Mexico Oxfam Action Corps is a non-partisan volunteer team righting the wrong of poverty and injustice with grassroots action right here in Albuquerque. It's a project of Oxfam America, a non-profit organization that works with people in more than 90 countries to save lives, develop long-term solutions to poverty, and campaign for social change.
The Oxfam Action Corps is a unique program that focuses on local community organizing, or bringing people together around a shared purpose to make political change. The Action Corps provides a learning experience in which volunteers become skilled organizers, communities become powerful advocates for the rights of the poor and vulnerable, and we all change our world for the better.

Right now, many farmers in poor countries—the people who grow the food the world relies on—don't have the power to access the resources they need to thrive.
