New York State of Mind was formed with one purpose in mind, to bring individuals from all backgrounds living and/or working in the tri-state area together to make a difference in the New York City metro area, and fight the on-going epidemic of poverty one day at a time. We partner with many non-profit organizations around the New York City area that serve the community in a variety of ways such as providing services for the homeless, hungry and those specializing in child welfare and the enviornment. By cultivating strong relationships with the non-profit organizations we partner with, and our members through community service activities, we aim to create a community that lends a constant hand to those in need. We participate in traditional events created by the organizations we work with as well as integrate our own volunteer events to improve the experience of our members, partner organizations, and those we aim to help.
