Jewish Vocational Service, JVS, transforms lives by helping people build skills and find jobs to achieve self-sufficiency. Sector based training and employment strategies, close employer engagement, collaborative partnerships and targeted programs for youth with disabilities, displaced workers, and the transgender community make JVS a nationally recognized innovator in workforce development. JVS is a non-sectarian, not-for-profit organization founded in 1973, with a current operating budget of $7 million. JVS plays a leadership role in collaborative employment and training efforts throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and in workforce policy development and advocacy at local, state and federal levels.
