The mission of the Center for Teen Empowerment is to engage urban youth in the process of building healthier, safer, and more productive communities. Teen Empowerment hires and trains youth, including at-risk youth, ages 14-20 to be community organizers. We provide young people with the resources and training they need to address seemingly intractable problems in their communities, to develop themselves emotionally and intellectually, and to change youth-serving institutions to better meet their needs.
