Meta Peace Team (formerly, Michigan Peace Team) pursues peace through active nonviolence in places of conflict, with a proven track record of successes over 20 years in the USA and abroad (Palestine/Israel, Mexico, Bosnia, Haiti, Canada, Panama, and many more countries).

MPT provides nonviolence trainings and places violence reduction teams in domestic and international conflicts when invited.

From 2008 through 2011 MPT worked on sending Peace Teams in person to Juarez, Mexico. We are currently doing "virtual accompaniment", awareness, and solidarity work with the citizens of Juarez. For more informatoin, visit: http://www.MPTinJuarez.blogspot.com.

MPT also trains and deploys teams all over the USA to help deter violence in high conflict situations.

MPT responds to invitations from communities who want to reduce the threat of violence in ongoing conflict situations or, or one-time 'special event' or similar situations (for example, MPT had a presence at the Republican National Committee in 2008 to reduce violence between police, participants and protesters).

MPT also convenes and supports local peace groups throughout the United States and provides educational programming for the public on the practice of nonviolence & skills of violence de-escalation.
