No Longer Empty (NLE) is a public art organization whose mission is to widen the audience for contemporary art, promote the work of experimental and socially concious artists, and demonstrate a model for community resilience. We do so by temporarily transforming vacant properties into site-specific, curated exhibitions that are free and open to the public. Coupling our exhibitions with extensive cultural and educational programming, we revitalize underutilized sites and engage residents into vibrant hubs of community activity.

We nourish and build strong communities around our initiatives, from our visitors to our cultural partners, our youth docents and volunteers to our real estate partners. We believe in involving all community members in developing exhibitions that will speak to a wide audience and spark progressive thinking and collaboration. In this sense our exhibitions are public - all are invited to be involved in helping unlock creativity. We offer a public service that involves, includes and inspires.
