Description

Housing Works Bookstore Cafe, located in lovely SoHo, New York, offers an extensive collection of like-new and used books, CDs, DVDs, and records at discount prices. Our café serves fresh quiche, cookies, soups and salads, along with free wifi.

We also host readings, concerts, panels and parties nearly every night of the week!

All of our proceeds support the programs of Housing Works, Inc., a minority-controlled, community-supported service agency that provides housing, healthcare, job placement, advocacy, and more to homeless New Yorkers living with HIV and AIDS.

We rely on the help of 200+ volunteers to run our café, staff our front counter, shelve and sort books, assist our internet sales department, and work on special projects. Come check us out! A great venue and a worthy cause!
