The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases. Toward this end, we fundraise for arthritis research through numerous events such as dinners, Arthritis Walks, road races, wiffle ball and golf tournaments, and an annual Online Auction. We offer exercise and aquatic classes throughout the state, as well as Self-Help groups, support groups, seminars,and lectures. We distribute brochures and other information individually and through health fairs and events. Volunteers staff an informational phone line which can be accessed by the public. Two doctors also answer medically-related questions once a week. Whenever possible, we advocate on behalf of arthritis legislation.
