Description

The Backpack Project is a non-profit charitable organization devoted to addressing the educational supply needs of area children in underserved communities throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area. We provide backpacks, school uniforms, mentoring programs and journaling workshops to children in need of assistance in grades Pre-K through 12th. These backpacks provide a symbol of hope, encouragement and boosts self-esteem. Every child should be fully equipped and ready to learn on the first day of school. It is our goal to fulfill this fundamental need.
