Description

City Year is a dynamic AmeriCorps organization built on the belief that young people can change the world. City Year is an education focused, nonprofit organization that unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service to keep students in school and on track to graduation. At City Year's 24 urban locations across the United States and two international affiliates, over 2,500 energetic, creative and idealistic corps members between the ages of 17-24 years old are making a difference in their communities, one student at a time. Corps members serve full-time in schools for the academic year as tutors, mentors and role models. Through attendance and behavior initiatives as well as one on and one and small group tutoring, corps members are able to help students stay on track to graduate.
