Description

The mission of the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades is to serve the entire Jewish community as an agency for Jewish identification which accepts and respects diversity among Jews and welcomes people of all races, creeds, nationalities, abilities and disabilities. The purpose of this organization shall be to: Present opportunities and life choices to deepen Jewish identity and nurture commitment to Jewish learning for the purpose of ensuring Jewish continuity and the enrichment of Jewish life; Create Jewish experiences using a variety of media through which Jewish knowledge and values are transmitted and which help build lasting Jewish memories; Provide and develop activities and programs permeated with Jewish content to help foster the spiritual, cultural, social action and ethical values which help all to achieve the highest ideal of American citizenship; Strengthen connections to Jewish institutions, synagogues, and K'lal Yisrael (the Jewish people around the world) and the State of Israel; Enhance the mind, body and spirit of every individual at every age and stage of life.
