Sewa - pronouced 'say wah' - in Sanskrit language translates to service aboveself - essentially Selfless Efforts for Welfare of All. Sewa International in the USA is a 501(c)(3) Hindu faith-based nonprofit charity with a chapter in Houston, TX as well as 37 other chapters in 20 metros and 21 states in the United States. In Houston, Sewa serves as a grass-root organization aspiring to spread the message of service to low income families: whether it is a disasteror a daily struggle for an average person, committed volunteers of Sewa take that extra mile to ensure that a helping hand and a loving heart is not away from the individuals in need, wherever they are and whenever they need it.
