The Social Innovation Program

June 16 to July 19, 2013

Normal Application Deadline: March 15, 2013

The Social Innovation Program (SIP) at George Mason University is an intensive five-week institute that prepares aspiring young changemakers to be social entrepreneurs. Graduates emerge armed to successfully apply entrepreneurial approaches to social causes in the nonprofit, public, and private sectors.

The first week of the program features daily coursework focusing on core concepts of nonprofit leadership, social entrepreneurship and community change. During the remainder of the program, seasoned social entrepreneurs train apprentices in teams how to apply their newly learned skills. Local nonprofits and municipal agencies present participants with real world challenges to solve.

You can change the world, but it takes more than idealism. It takes innovation.
