I am an administrative assistant for the United States Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC. I graduated from James Madison University in 2009 with a B.A. in International Affairs, after college I received an internship with Church World Service where I was let loose in the nonprofit world. Through this internship I gained whole new experiences and I discovered what it was like to work for a cause and to be passionate about making a change. When I received my position as administrative assistant in the government, I was determined to still maintain my passions for human rights and the nonprofit world; in fact my interests have only grown. In addition to doing administrative duties, I also have worked on various programs and databases for our government branch and volunteer at two nonprofits.
the people who have influenced me throughout my life: my family, teachers, volunteers, supervisors, and those I help. They encourage and inspire me to work harder in order to make this world better.
