At the core of my beliefs in planning public policy is how do we use public service to legislate, and as a result, use public office and community institutions to leverage a bully pulpit, which can build an economy that will replace the manufacturing base lost over the last 35 years due to globalization, foreign and regional trade agreements, and overseas competition. In other words, how do we absorb masses of our constituents, who are either low-skilled workers or recent immigrants into an economy that will sustain them so that they support and build healthy families, mortgage a home, and finance their children's education?

Having said that, my resume demonstrates a strong record of accomplishments in several areas that include, but not limited to; directed action, research and analysis of complex public policy issues affecting direct service providers; assist federal, state, and local policymakers and key stakeholder groups translate research into policy solutions addressing identified needs. I have trained leaders and various stakeholder groups on how to mediate and facilitate negotiated solutions into public policy issues and have wrote about ways to develop and assess public policy issues:

Prior to joining the Board of Elections, I was a Senior Partner for the G-Net Group, which is a privately held consulting firm. In this role, I was instrumental in designing and implementing fundraising strategies, resource development strategies that helped small to mid-sized private sector businesses and non-profit organizations maximize their revenue streams, and subsequently their impact. In addition to my strategic focus, I also helped to secure more than 3 million dollars in loans and philanthropic funding for social service, educational, performing arts and holistic health organizations. As a certified technical assistance provider under the SBA's Community Express Program, The G-Net Group also provided business development services to emerging and established businesses throughout New York State.

As a Consultant for JN and Associates, I became the lead consultant for East Harlem Business Capital Corporation's public/private effort, which executed the marketing research and analysis that resulted in $25 million dollars with New York City, New York State, and Federal Empowerment Zone investments and tax credits for the La Marqueta marketing project.
