Thanks for stumbling across our ad for a volunteer Donor Relations Manager.
Believe it or not, some nonprofits survive solely off the generous donations of their loyal supporters, people like you and me who find the mission of a nonprofit so significant in their community that they feel moved to donate funds or volunteer time to support the cause.
It's true, and Las Fotos Project is one of those organizations. We currently rely on the contributions of our supporters and team members and we want to make sure that they are being taken care of, with signs of gratitude and the occasional "How are you?" to show them what they mean to the project.
The role of the Donor Relations Manager is to ensure our donor base is happy and feeling appreciated. Simple as that! You'll be working with the Development Director and the Founder/Executive Director to:
- Ensure donors are thanked once their donation is received/processed
- Create a schedule for follow-up
- Develop quarterly communications to remind them of how their support has been put to good use
- Check in from time to time and say hello
