Description du poste bénévole

The project is organised with a community based organization working in one of the central region districts of Uganda (Kayunga district) engaged in environmental and waste management promotion activities. The organization uses the schools to reach out to the communities on senitization, advocacy, and mobilization of the communities. The organisation is running a number of projects based on integration of the environment in farming towards sustainable development (Agro-forestry, environment protection)

Volunteers will be involved in Teaching computer technology; Eco protection; agriculture lessons and practical work; sports and first aid programs; capacity building and resource mobilization.

Language: English

Accommodation: Accommodation will vary from host families to a group accommodation depending on the site.

Location: Kayunga district borders Jinja and Kamuli in the east, Luweero and Nakasongola in the west, Lira in the north, Mukono in the south, located 85 km from Kampala central, the project is located in Nazigo and Kayunga sub county which is 7 km from Kayunga town. The site is located in the central region of Uganda which is surrounding the capital city.

Project duration: 1 - 12 months
