Domestic Violence Wears Many Tags (DVWMTS) seeks an individual, which will coordinate and plan the 2 annual fundraising and advocacy events of the organization as well as other small events throughout the year.
About DVWMTS
Domestic Violence Wears Many Tags mission is to bring awareness to the community and families as a whole as it pertains to abuse. We want to educate schools, churches, and mentor groups by reprogramming the amygdala with better decision making skills. We want to find ways that are fun and interesting for families, schools, and or churches to talk about abuse on any platform. We want to make sure that we are in the community bringing new and approved information & resources for the people that are the face of abuse & to the abusers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans, organizes, coordinates, promotes, and facilitates events including the Annual Teen Talent Showcase
- Establishes budget and timelines and contacts venue, speakers, and donors
- Drafts and sends invitations to donors and guests
- Schedules and maintains communication with speakers, vendors, and participants
- Coordinates and monitors event timelines
- Reviews and analyzes evaluations
- Assists in preparing a variety of publications, materials, and programs for events
- Initiates, coordinates and/or participates in all efforts to publicize promotion of all events.
