Volunteering Opportunity in Bandipur
Bandipur is a place located enroute to Pokhara from Kathmandu (capital of Nepal). It is a traditional village with a lots of temples, must see places, history and peaceful environment. Hidden from a lots of tourists, this place offers a great view of the places around. The people are friendly and regard guests as gods. There are a few tourists so the people have not adopted completely to the western culture. The houses are old fashioned and traditional which gives you a feeling of medival age life. However there are quite good restaurants in case you feel home sick.
Our project is in a school run by Christian Fund and Sisters. They always welcome volunteers to come and teach at their school. They have more students than they can afford. There are not a lot of teachers so the volunteers are heartly welcome. Please visit us on Facebook for pictures of the school/project.
