Web designer

Volunteer Duties:

• Develop and/or maintain a dynamic web site that may include Adobe Flash components.
• Research best resource for web hosting and maintenance.
• Assist with the development and implementation of creative strategy, concepts, design and functionality.
• Assist with E-commerce strategy, video streaming strategy, social network development and workgroup collaboration strategy.

Skills Required:

• Experience with PHP coding is preferred.
• Demonstrated and creative experience with Drupal CMS--installation, upgrade, module modification, shopping cart, and workflow
• Working knowledge of Adobe software along with experience in SQL, DB structure, and ETLs--MySql
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solid analytical, conceptual and technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Working knowledge of streaming multimedia applications such as video and audio streaming—Flash and Silverlight
• Working knowledge of content management systems, PCI compliance, secure transactions and encryption

Time Frame:

• We ask for a commitment of not less than six months and not more than one year. Volunteer can extend an additional year upon completion of the first term of service.
• Primary focus of tasks will be to design a dynamic website and therefore a commitment of several hours per week is desirable.
• Providing services virtually is totally acceptable with providing draft layouts of products and processes for approval before final production.
