The National Kidney Foundation Serving the National Capital Area
The National Kidney Foundation Serving the National Capital Area (NKF/NCA) is the leader in the fight against kidney disease. A major voluntary health organization, the Foundation seeks to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.
What, When, Where
We'll be holding a kidney screening at the NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo on Sunday, March 17 at the DC Convention Center. There are two different time slots, either from 8:15 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. or from 12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
We are looking for volunteers to help us with our kidney screening at the NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo on March 16-17 at the DC Convention Center.
We are looking for volunteers on Sunday, March 17, 2013. There are two shifts available, from 8:15 a.m.-1:00 p.m. or from 12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Some tasks include welcoming participants, taking physical measurements, helping with line control, assist with questionnaires and hand out educational materials at resource center. You'll be assigned to a station(s) the day of screening.
If you are interested in recruiting volunteers for a group or organization, this event would be perfect because there are about 30 slots per shift and you could be assigned to the same station.
Volunteers do not have to have medical experience, just a positive attitude, good people skills and a willingness to help others. You must be at least 16 years old.
