Daddy and Little Me is a young non-profit founded by an experienced leader in family activities specifically designed to build bonds between fathers and their children. We are currently working in the Arlington/Alexandria communities and would like to extend our programming to meet demand. We are looking for a volunteer to help us maintain our social media communities which serve as our primary marketing outreach for promoting our programs such as reading hours, hikes, day camping, and local field trips. This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor and help shape an organization with an early solid track record and great potential to address a nationwide need. Estimated time commitment is 5 hours/ month.
The volunteer Social Media Manager will be responsible for the following:
-Works closely with the Director to maintain Facebook and MeetUp sites to announce upcoming Daddy and Little Me events
-Leverage Facebook and MeetUp platforms to recruit new participants in Daddy and Little Me
- Conduct outreach to like-minded groups on social media sites to encourage cross-promotion of activities as appropriate
