I Am We is looking for a Web Designer to support our organization in Chicago! We are a grass roots organization comprised of anthropologist, artist, educators and professionals that believe when communities are inspired the positively act and invest within their communities. In Chicago, many underserved communities are uninspired, and as a result they are stagnate, non-engaged and often vulnerable to abandonment, crime, poor health, poverty and miss valuable resources. I Am We understands to address this urgent issue, we need to engage disconnected communities. Therefore our goal is to be a leader in unifying communities through the medium of art, inspiration, outreach, education, programming and advocacy. Now, all we need is you to be a key contributor in making our goal a reality.
This is a great opportunity for a web designer who wants to be a part of an artist community that embraces creativity, innovation and is results driven.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the coding and updating of I Am We's website. The Web Developer will work with our creative team to create a website using wordpress. The Web Developer will also advise I Am We on installation, maintenance and security tasks.
Our desired Web Developer:
- Has 3+ years of experience creating front-end websites
- Has extensive experience in many of the following: Dreamweaver, Drupal, Wordpress, Joomla, HTML, PHP, Javascript, SQL and others
- Has experience with common design tools such as Photoshop
- Experience with information architecture or user experience is a plus.
