Description du poste bénévole

Make a difference. Become a volunteer at WOMAN, Inc.! WOMAN, Inc. is dedicated to empowering domestic violence survivors to create lives free of violence. Our ultimate goal is to abolish domestic violence by promoting a violence free society through advocacy, education, and public policy. We offer domestic violence survivors a 24-hour multilingual crisis line and culturally sensitive support programs. WOMAN, Inc. greatly values our volunteers. As a feminist organization, we recognize the importance of peers helping peers within our community. Volunteers are not only an integral part of our agency, but an integral part of the anti-domestic violence movement as well. We are building a tool for better access to up-to-date information and referral data collected from all the anti-domestic violence agencies in the 9 Bay Area counties.This tool will be crucial to advocates in connecting survivors of domestic violence to much-needed support and services. Help us build it!

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Data entry into DVIRC website
  • Ensure all WOMAN, Inc resource information has been entered
  • Assist in entering resource lists provided by other agencies
  • Verify that all resources entered into database are accurate and up to date

Desired Skills & Interests:

  • Data entry skills
  • Familiarity with Spreadsheets
  • Comfortable with calling agencies
  • Desire to work within anti-violence community

Time Commitment:

This is an ongoing project, requiring a 2 hour initial training then 4-10 hours per week, for at least two months. Volunteers will be provided with in-office training and support, and once oriented with the project, have the flexilbility to work from home.
