A member of the Leadership Seminar Team, reports to the Leadership Seminar Chair
Oversees the Facilitators and Junior Staff
Responsibilities
- With input from the Seminar Planning Team, develops criteria and application process for Junior Staff; produces and disseminates this information to young alumni (under 21 yrs).
- Helps connect young alumni with opportunities to fundraise, generate Gifts-in-Kind (GIK) donations, or recruit ambassadors, as required for selection to Junior Staff; This may involve, but is not limited to. connecting alumni with their local service organizations, developing presentation materials or talking points for presentations to groups, creating donation letter templates, providing fundraising event ideas, and distributing script sample and FAQ for school recruitment calls
- Solicits and collects Junior Staff applications, verifies criteria and confirms Junior Staff members
- Solicits and confirms facilitators
- Is responsible for disseminating and collecting all required information and paperwork from all Seminar weekend staff
- Schedules, organizes, and runs Seminar training for all staff participating in the Seminar weekend (including Seminar Planning Team members)
- Assembles staff binders, including required materials and resources provided by other Seminar Team Members
- Works with Director of Operations and Director of Program to determine staffing needs and assignments
- In coordination with the Director of Operations, ensures material preparation (signage, nametags, etc) for the weekend is complete
- Oversees Facilitators and Junior Staff throughout the Seminar weekend, and intervenes to resolve any conflicts, with input from the Leadership Seminar Chair
- Contributes staffing feedback and any revised to nightly staff meetings at the Semianr
- Prepares a staff evaluation to provide feedback on the Seminar Program and future staffing
- Attends Seminar Planning Team meetings: monthly Sept-Feb; semi-monthly Mar-Apr; weekly May through the Seminar
- Turns over copies of relevant documents and communications to LSC for central record keeping.
- Contributes to other Seminar planning efforts as needed
Requirements
- Must be 21 years old
- Must be able and willing to work with electronic resources
- Must have regular access to e-mail
- Must be available for the entire Seminar weekend (May 23-26, 2013 Willamette University Salem, OR)
