CHABHA (Children Affected By HIV/AIDS)
CHABHA is a 501(c)3 international non-government organization that partners with community based grassroots organizations in East Africa that builds the capacity of children and youth orphaned and affected by AIDS and HIV, providing access to education, health and psychosocial support. Working together with the local leaders developing sustainabale projects that lead to independent lives for the children, youth and their households.
We are currently looking for a creative, passionate, think outside the box volunteer in the New York City area that will work 12 hours a month with the Executive Director. For this volunteer position (or Intern) we would like to identify an individual to be responsible for developing innovative and creative Web-based tools for our progressive online activism and community building which will enhance our presence online and promote the organization through social media.
Duties: Research and identify best solution to meet the needs of the organizations interest in developing our outreach goals with a new website and social media.
- designs web pages and maintains website content
- creates logos
- creates effective interactive and online media that integrates with strategic campaign initiatives
- contributes to the development of traditional media such as print flyers, posters, and cards
- assists in developing, implementing, and monitoring ongoing improvements to the company website, facebook, youtube, twitter page, etc.translates ideas and
- concepts into visual solutions, representations, and key projects that drive positive results
- utilizes major software design programs including Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, etc. to produce effective professional visual images and products
- coordinates with other volunteers
- corresponds with the Board of Directors
- flexible to performs similar duties as assigned
Current website is on Blogger, we have researched Wordpressand Squarespace and are open to other web develpment software.
