An opportunity for individuals interested in utilizing their skills and knowledge of infographic design usingMicrosoft Office or Adobe software products. This position is for individuals who can assist with developing presentations and print media which contains various charts and graphs. Volunteers for this position must be familiar with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Photshop, Illustrator and/or MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word which will be used for the final product deployment.
HMI is willing to accept volunteer service from several individuals on a project by project basis if experience is in the use of one or more software products. Positions are virutal with the use of online collaboration systems.
Skills
- Must be familiar with current industry standards in inforgraphic design, style and electronic media format.
- Must possess basic computer and internet skills
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office and Adobe products and be willing to use web conferencing tools
- Must have effective communication, written, and verbal skills
Time Frame
- We will consider individuals being assigned on a project basis but we ask for a commitment of not less than six months and not more than one year. Volunteer can extend an additional year upon completion of the first term of service.
- Primary focus of tasks will not be to conduct variouis graphic design and desktop publishing projects and therefore a commitment of several hours per week is deisrable
- Providing services virtually is totally acceptable with providing draft layouts of products and processes for approval before final production
Evaluation
- Volunteers will be evaluated at the mid-point term of service and will be asked to fill out an evaluation form of their experience
