Part of the Solution (POTS) is looking for friendly volunteers to help with reception and hospitality for the 500+ people the organization serves daily. Currently, there are openings on Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, and on weekends from 12:00-4:00 PM. The position involves greeting people as they come through the door and directing them to the appropriate floor for services. POTS will provide training, bi-lingual volunteers especially helpful (but not necessary), there is a secure parking lot directly across from the facility.
POTS is a "one-stop shop" thats helps more than 15,000 low-income people, including 4,000 children, each year. Our mission is to be a loving community in the Bronx that nourishes the basic needs and hungers of all who come to our door. Our programs include: Community Dining Room ('soup kitchen'), Food Pantry, Mail, Haircuts, Clothing, Case Management and Legal Services.
