Street outreach counselors are needed to work with homeless youth (14-25) in DC. No experience necessary, just a desire to give back to your community and help youth. We provide a daylong training, the next one will be this Saturday January 12th from 12pm-5pm at the Martin Luther King Jr. Library at 901 G Street NW in DC. If you want to volunteer but don't want to do street outreach, we have opportunities for you as well! Take our online orientation and find out how you can get involved!

Requirements for Volunteers:
To work directly with homeless youth, volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, consent to a criminal background investigation ($15 processing fee), and be able to provide 3 character references.
For volunteers who want to work strictly "behind the scenes," a background check is not required (except for Executive Directors). Please contact lillianm@standupforkids.org for more information and to sign up today.
