Lifesaving, history making, record breaking and tons of fun describe our nine 2012 Strut Your Mutt® events. Strut Your Mutt®, our nationwide dog walk for pets and their people not only raises awareness about homeless pets; it provides a fundraising opportunity for local rescue groups. In 2012, almost $1.3 million dollars was raised nationwide for our participating No More Homeless Pets® Network Partners and Best Friends. It was an inaugural event for Austin and five other cities. More than $86,000 was raised in Austin. The event was planned and executed entirely by a team of dedicated volunteers!
Our Strut Your Mutt® planning has already begun and we are thrilled to announce that the event is coming back to Austin. Because Austin volunteers know how to strut their stuff, we want volunteers to lead the pack again in 2013. We are looking for people to fill the Volunteer Leadership Team positions. The Leadership Team will work together to plan, organize and bring the Austin Strut Your Mutt® to life. Don't miss the chance to be part of this amazing lifesaving event!

Marketing and Public Relations Leader
Volunteer Leader
The Volunteer Leadership Team will receive training and on-going support from the Best Friends staff throughout the year.
The tentative date and location for the Austin Strut Your Mutt® is Saturday, September 28 at Mueller Lake Park, 1829 Simond Avenue, Austin.
