Une mission bénévole posté par Refugee Independence through Service Enhancement Program
Publié le : 2 janv. 2013
Background
The "Refugee Independence through Service Enhancement" (RISE) Program is funded by the Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants (MORI) to help refugees gain self-sufficiency through volunteer assistance, with a primary focus on refugee employment. RISE seeks to train local and highly-qualified volunteers to serve as key participants in this aspect of successful resettlement. In partnership and coordination with staff at local agencies the volunteers will provide practical support related to jobs, and may also help refugees establish links to community during their initial months in the US.
Volunteers can work on their own, or as part of an office, club, or religious group. Working closely with refugees is a life-changing experience, one that empowers people to step outside their comfort zones and make a major difference in the lives of others.
